Have the Right Tools Handy
Having the right tools on hand, in the right place, for cleaning and organizing is as important as having a hammer and nails in your tool belt when building a home. By having the right tools nearby, you will increase the likelihood for success.
The best way to do this is to keep a small set of the cleaning products you use in or near each area where you use them.
For example: A small cleaning caddy with everything you need to clean the bathroom under the bathroom sink will help you get the bathrooms cleaned quickly and easily. A caddy with dusting and glass cleaning supplies with the vacuum or in the linen closet will be quick and easy to use when doing your living room/bedroom cleanup.
A broom with a dustpan attached, right by the mop and bucket, make mopping jobs easy.
I like to keep a microfiber cloth on a little stick-on hook, under the bathroom sink, for quick wipe-downs of the bathroom counter after the morning mess (just throw it in the wash with the towels on laundry day.)
Keep folders, files, paper clips, rubber bands, file boxes, pens, and labels neatly accessible in the office or by the command centre.
In the garage, keep a rack of rakes, trowels, leaf bags, pruners, fertilizer, and garden gloves all together and easily accessible in the garage for yard work.
You will soon see find that your cleaning/organizing tools are so quick and easy to use that you are staying more organized, more easily!
